Any suggestions for sprucing up our front door handle?

Handle and lock are brushed nickel - they were gorgeous, but now look dingy and discolored.

I agree spray paint works wonders! I use Rustoleum
i would remove the handle first, clean, spray prime & then spray paint.
For a door handle I would also top coat it to protect from scratches. I have painted ceiling lamp bases, toilet paper holders, ceiling fans and bathroom wall lights.
