What can I use to kill grass & weeds in myrtle without killing it?
I have a healthy bed of myrtle, but struggle to keep it grass and weed free
You can mix 1 cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup of table salt into a gallon of water. Put in a sprayer and spray the offending weeds. Just be careful where the spray goes as this mixture will kill off most anything it touches.
Vinegar works
You can put down newspaper and then grass clippings on top of them. It blocks the sunlight and keeps the weeds from growing.
Hi Joyce
Try placing grass clippings between veg garden rows to choke out any weeds. Can also use mulch but grass is free.š

Hi Joyce, you can wet the soil the weeds are in and they pull out nicely. Make a herbicide to spray on the weeds. Hope this helps, mix 1 cup of salt. 1 tablespoon of dish soap. 1 gallon of vinegar, pour into a spray bottle and spray weeds. Be careful not to spray plants that you love.
