Make a pallet wood DIY flag, without having to break down pallets or use power tools. I love this farmhouse style patriotic American flag decor project!
Raise your hand if you love the whole “reclaimed wood” or “pallet wood” decor trend! Now, raise your hand if you don’t want to bust out power tools for every single DIY decor project that you tackle!
You can get the look of those popular pallet wood signs by using a pre-made unfinished wood sign from the craft store!
First, stain the wood sign. I like to use a combination of golden oak and dark walnut.
Using masking tape, tape off your 13 lines. Paint with white chalk paint. Peel off the tape at an angle.
To add stars, I bought these little star stickers that I found in the teacher supply section at the craft store. Stipple on gray chalk paint.
Let all of the chalk paint dry. Then lightly sand with medium grit sandpaper. Distress as much or as little as you like.
Buy using a pre-made pallet sign, you can save so much time and hassle. Here are my favorites, and they come with free shipping!
Hop on over to my blog for an in-depth tutorial for this neutral farmhouse flag. I've also shared my tutorial for building those kitchen shelves. It looks fancy, but was so easy to make!
