My little yellow lilies don't even have buds on them this year. The plants appear healthy but nothing. They are on the side of the shed so get both light and shade. I fed them miracle grow. Last year when I moved them there I expected this, yet they bloomed beautifully. What am I doing wrong?

When you transplant bulbs ,fertilizing does not get done. The following year after they start coming up is the proper time to feed them.

We moved in last year so we were totally new at this stuff so we didn't fertilize anything. We had a lawn service so they handled the lawn. I can't even remember where they came from just that they were here and I really wanted a she shed and I wanted them over there. Here in northern Illinois I've seen in the shade and in the sun so I moved them over there.

Check your plants for little red bugs, they are lily beetles and the have a big appetite for lilies. They are tough to get rid of if you do have them but the easy way is to pick or knock them off into a container of warm soapy water.
