Stepping Up a Step Table

These "step tables" or "telephone tables" were so popular back in the 60s. And like so much of the furniture from that era, this one was very solidly built. But few want the original wood look so I decided to give it a French flair by adding a Paris graphic from Karen - The Graphics Fairy . Chalk paint makes a makeover easy and I used a homemade version and lightly distressed it. The graphic was applied using the Mod Podge method and it was all topped with a few coats of non-yellowing polyurathane.
I loved it in my living room but a buyer will be picking it up tomorrow.

Paint it white and slap Paris on it. GROUNDBREAKING! If you wanted to really be cement your position as a fashionista on the rise guaranteeing you’ll have your choice of publication to orchestrate the inevitable layout detailing you self made, one person interior design empire, I suppose you could put some silly phrase on it…IN FRENCH!!!. That would be so risqué!
