They are plants, not animals!! Mine get about 1/2 sun 1/2 shade, and do very well~~multiple every year!!!
Where I live they get morning sun only. To blazing hot in direct sun.

They take whatever you have. Mine are all over the place: with a lot of sun as well as minimal light . While the ones in full sun grow faster and propagate more quickly, the more shaded ones are doing well also. That said, summers in OR are relatively short and and dry as well as not a brutal heat wise as other areas. They are out all year and seem to thrive.
