I have an old army trunk I've had it for 51yrs. how do I refinish It

    It depends on what you want to use it for. Mysel, I wouldn't mess with the original finish of it, gives it the character and authenticity required to make a statement. Maybe clean up good with non abrasive cleaner, attach some stained wooden furniture feet to bottom and you have a great coffee table. You could even get a thicker piece of polished edge glass cut, bigger than the trunk, and set it on top .
