Need to take off old 8"x8" ugly white tiles on the front of my fireplace and flat hearth. Can you give me some ideas how to remove old and add new!Sure appreciate it!
Just go to Lowe's ask the hardware man to help you find the correct tile caulk, and caulk gun should be under $20.00 once you fill it back in dip your finger in water and smooth it out but keep your finger wet so the caulk won't stick to your finger.
ps. show him that same picture that you posted, this will help him to help you match the caulk.
To replace those tiles is another step. which is really not that hard, just show the pictures to the person at Lowes they can help you. You can do this, and be proud of your self.
thank you, but the problem is the tile has already been replaced once, and it's again cracked in the same place (photos 2,3 and 4). My fear is that the whatever is underneath is shifting. I don't know how they prep the foundation for the fireplace, but the entire floor in this room is concrete. I don't think it's the concrete floor though because the walls are fine... no shifting/cracking. It's just the fireplace.
