How can I remove old paint from a terra cotta pot?

Try using a coarse sand paper to gently sand off all the paint that was possible. Or you can try to soak your pots and plaques in water for at least 24 hours. Then see if you are able to peel away, or gently scrap off the paint.

Instead of removing, just repaint with nice design.
