If your talking about using on your body, the Avon Skin So Soft is really good. Outside I have had good luck with a few Citronella Geraniums and a bug zapper.

If you look at research all those items work for only a very short time. Deep Woods Off got the top rating. Works up to 5 hours.

I made a repellent using coconut oil, citronella essential oil and tea tree essential oil. It works amazingly for hours at a time.
