Sunflowers need next to no care! I had some pop up last year and they grew with no help from me.

Tall species and cultivars require support. Bamboo stakes are a good choice for any plant that has a strong, single stem and needs support for a short period of time.

You maybe will have to stake them up if they are in the strong winds. I had to do that one year. I put a long stake in the ground and took strips of old material and tied it up. Normally like Chris said they need next to care.
