Having lived in Fl most of my life the best way is to pull them out. They spread even with the best weed killer
at our community meeting someone advised that lime through a spreader in the heat of the day. we have a field that is filled with them, neighborhood children can't even play in it.
There is a mix called MSM? that I have mixed in hand sprayer. It will kill plant but if it is mature with burrs on them. They will come back. Dug up and bag plant and burrs is most effective but is a lot of work.
