Does crown molding make a room look taller or shorter?
Crown molding is not something I have liked in the past. Although, with a wide room and low ceilings (8 foot), it seemed to make my room look taller. Was I wrong?

It blends a room together. A lot of homeowners are of the opinion that an 8 foot ceiling is too low for crown molding. But there's varying sizes, if your have a lower ceiling you can just install a thinner crown so it doesn't overcrowd the room.
It generally makes the ceilings look higher- I love the look!
