Break first with a hammer then use a floor scraper to lift tiles.
Prayer is helpful. It is back breaking work. Consider professional removal and installation. May be cheaper than a chiropractor.
My daughter moved in to a townhouse with black ceramic tile on the floors. It showed every foot step in dust. We didn't want to hammer and chisel out the tile. We thought about painting the tile with epoxy paint and settled on a vinyl wood look plank flooring that floated on top of the old ceramic tile. The viny flooring we bought from Home Depot and cut it with a box cutter. The whole process took a couple of days. I was able to lay it close to the baseboards and filled any gaps with colored caulk to match. It was well worth the time and money to install the vinyl flooring over the ceramic tile. I suggest that idea.
