I would take a photo of the floor and bring it to Home Depot to see which products they recommend for that specific floor - they are very good like that! I am guessing that they will recommend a stripper and a sealer. Good luck - your house sounds awesome!
You can buy the hexagon tiles individually and replace the missing ones. The timing is good since the 1912 hexagon mosaic tiles are back in style in a major way.
You'd have to chip out the ones needing replaced and replace with the new. Your first step is to get the old ones as clean as possible.
Anyway you look at it, it's not going to be an easy job.
wow lucky you to have that! I would just leave them and apppreciate for what they are..the current ones will never have the exact dimension and betting your tiles would have been made with real glass or perhaps they were a baked porcelain.. the ones at home depot would probably be chinese offshot made. I would contact this old house! They have lots of experience.
