    Hi Jmcnaught1923, My first thought is Hostas. There are so many choices of Hostas out there now. I love the dark green Elephant Ears and any variegated Hostas. Coleus and Sun Flowers also like shade.

    There is a torenia out there called the clown flower...beautiful purple flower....Russian sage does better in sun...sea oats grass is an excellent choice for your area....research your zone and go from there
