Be sure you know what variety you have, they vary. If they are planted in the wrong spot or pruned incorrectly, they'll never bloom...learned this the hard way. :-/
Oh wow that info helped me. It was beautiful in a big pot. Planted it and now it's sad. I think I'll put it back in a big pot this fall.....
Be sure to give it acid fertilizer at least once a season. and nip back the dead branches
