I'm a professional craft producer and I've been designing crafts for a very long time but it's my love, passion and my therapy. Sweetie there so many crafts out there to even try to suggest for you to try! The folks that suggested Pinterest is right on. Many of the local craft stores do classes. Check out their websites and pick one that looks interesting. They will show you how and it could open many doors.
Check out Unicorn Spit...it is a stain and glaze that can be applied to wood/metal/glass/plastic/cloth...it is amazing! I have made coasters, painted planters, re-done cheap florist vases and painted metal hummingbirds to put on drinking glasses. It is fun to work with and you don't really need true artistic talent.
