I water mine every day, but don't drown them. Its just that in a small container they dry out faster so I try to give the. A little every day.
I water my tomato plants in pots about every other day depending on how hot it is outside And how much rain comes in under my porch. Just check the soil and if it's dry, water.
Generally it truly depends on the weather where you are at, but to know if they are in need of water because there's been no rain for a few days, put your finger down into the pot about 2"-3" and if your finger is dry, then water them. Don't overdo it though; just until the water begins to run from the bottom, then stop (you don't want your plant sitting in a lot of water as it can cause problems for the plant, like root rot). Conversely if you are getting lots of rain you should bring your pots in or tent them to protect them from too much moisture. Never at any time do you want mushy soil.
i would keep them wet all the time try and mimic a good growing season. Let them dry for day then good drink
You should water them everyday, or at least make sure the soil stays damp at all times. Tomatoes like lots of water and lots of sun.
