Undesirable grasses

Is there a way to get rid of certain grasses without killing of the area and re-seeding? It's not crabgrass or quackgrass. Thanks for any help.

Depending on what the grass is you might try a weed and feed product. But if it's not a crabgrass you may just want to overseed with the type you want. Eventually the new growth with overtake the old.
