Fungus generally is from overwatering.Water when the soil feels try to the touch.If you still get a fungus spray the plant down with a organic fungus control spray
Your fungus is probably from humidity. Be proactive. Plant in an area that gets a lot of sun and breeze and try Superthrive to keep the plant healthy. Spray with a fungicide like neem oil. Don't forget to spray the underside. That's where your problems will most likely start.
Hi, Janet, I too live in Miami and it's just our weather and frequent rains. Try different areas to plant it and always make sure to pinch off the new growth.
In addition to any of the above comments, try potting in a pot with aquarium gravel on the very bottom and water from the bottom.
U need to buy plant fungus spray follow directions and following year it'll be gone.
