lots of water and lots of fertilizer.. fertilize every week to 10 days..
Are you fertilizing and pinching back the dead/dying flowers/leaves? For those of us in Southern Michigan, it can get mighty hot especially compared to Mackinaw! First of all, geraniums need at least 4 hours of sun, some afternoon shade is okay. If your plants are tall and leggy without flowers, they probably need fertilizing. If the plants are growing too quickly without flowers, decrease fertilization. Fertilize once monthly during spring and summer, watering after fertilizing. Use a fertilizer with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, 10-10-10. Deadhead!
Geraniums do not like to be soggy.Dead head the flowers. If necessary top dress the soil with fresh. They are heavy feeders,in lieu of water for the day use a water soluble fertilizer every couple of weeks.
