What is a way to display pots and pans?

I just moved---condo---love the idea of hanging from a rack with hooks---BUT, new kitchen has a skylight---I was thinking of a bakers rack---my basic color is white with red touches---how about a DIY bookcase white with red rosebuds---my pots are red??? too dorky? sounds really nice to me. Or a rack hanging from the ceiling. A friend put a shutter on her wall... hangs her pans off little hooks she placed on it.

I once had a gorgeous black iron pot rack that we hung over the kitchen sink; it really suited the house. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in my current home so they are stacked on a pull-out shelf in one of the cupboards. I still miss my pot rack! The only (minor) problem with the pot rack was that I had to clean the copper bottoms (of the pots) more frequently. My sister-in-law had some copper pots that she rarely used - they were more for decor - she hung them on a brick wall in her kitchen; they looked really nice and added a lot of interest to her kitchen.

If you have a farmhouse, I've seen old ladders hung as a pot rack over the kitchen island. One friend, a real DIYer, used her child's outgrown crib springs to hang her pots, pans, colanders, etc. What about a narrow width of pipe, spray painted the color of your choice, attached to a wall, using D-Link to hanging the pots and pans. Using a coat rack, you could get rid of the pegs, add the pipe or heavy dowel to hang your pots and the top rack for lids, larger roasters, etc.

Previous owners had installed pegboard on one wall of my very small kitchen -- 9 x 9.5 ft. When I renovated several yrs. ago my contractor framed in the pegboard which he painted the same color as the walls (Colonial Blue) and the frame trim is white. I'm quite happy with it in such a small space. Holds just enough pots and skillets for me. Lids are stored in drawer under the stove.

Patricia, Harper Woods MI It's me again I pushed the wrong button, I still would like ideas . I want to have my pots out in my kitchen. I wanted to hang them on a pot rack but I have a skylight so I don't think I'd have the room. Please keep my question active. Thanks
