Absolutely! We have been getting rid of that yellowish color most builders paint houses with, one room at a time.
fouYou're lucky, our 65 + year old home had hot pink in all rooms ate one time and probably oil paint. After several attempts to cover we found we had to sand or use paint remover to cover because everything would chip off showing the pink.
Its nice to change up a room color every couple of years. It gives a whole new vibe to a space!
I recently bought a 1929 farmhouse. It had layers and layers of wall treatment. paneling, two layers of sheet rock and under it all, SHIP LAP!!! The ship lap was painted hot pink as were the bead board ceilings. Took a lot of work to get both the way I wanted them but I am glad I did! What an adventure it has been.
Totally! We painted our living room yellow from plain white, and it transformed the entire room!
