Maybe take a picture of the toy and your baby and begin a memory book. Add comments of your feelings. Remember those gently loved toys could be hugged by a child in a shelter or foster.
Make a rack around the room on each wall and keep the toys up above where you can see them. I am 63 and have so many stuffed toys from since I was a baby, and that was a baby sheep, it's 63 years old. Clean it once a year, I have over 75+. Build those shelves!
Buy shadow box frames any size place collection in each with a tab on who's they wer, this also makes for a nice way to store them when your ready to hand them over to your child .
Buy a nice size crate from Lowes (heavy duty) and paint it a color to match your room decor. Then buy a fabric and foam (unless you already have a pillow that size) to make a pretty matching pillow to put on top. Now you have a toy box that looks like a seat.
Place them in attic or give them away to friends or family or put the items under the child's bed or your bed
Take pics of them to remember........eventually you give them away. Give them to friends with children and you can see them again when you visit
i would store your favorites if your baby no longer plays with them. Also, we switch toys out every few months. Put a bin out with toys for now, store the rest in another bin & switch them out in a few months. That way you don't have too many toys out at once, less clutter. My kids forget about the ones I put away & get excited when they see them again.
