What do I do with my poor spices that are getting soaked in rain daily

They are all very leggy with very pale leaves! We have had daily rains both in the morning and evening and it's still coming down hard. I was going to let the rains end then cut them all back and discard the clippings. What do you think I should or should have done?

If you have an umbrella on a table, try putting them under there if they're in pots. If they are in the ground, try the beach umbrellas during a hard rain.
Unfortunately they have received to much water.You can try if they are in a pot ,re-pot them in fresh soil and keep them in a protected but lit area.
We're having the same problem here in Pensacola. I cut black plastic bags and covered most of the area around each herb. Most of mine are in pots and we're really drowning. The plastic keeps most of the water off them. For those already getting yellow, I gave them a trim and a fertilizer booste. Seems to be working. Good luck!
If in pots, try to gather and keep protected and let them dry out some. Place on a porch if you have a covered one. If in the garden, my girlfriend in NC made tents for the herbs with clear plastic, think "A frame" structure.
I don't keep my spices outside anymore. I have a lamp I use to help them grow inside. Plus when I cook the herbs and spices are right there.
If I have to I put the pots where the eaves protect them from too much rain. Otherwise I have no problem with my pots of herbs, I guess that my soil drains really well. We have had as much as two inches at a time a few days in a row, I am glad that I haven't had a problem yet. Sorry to hear that you are getting that much rain! I hope they come back!
