Is it safe to replant peony?
I've heard it might be tricky. Is it true? What is the best way to that? It's this year's plant. No flowers yet.
If it's truly smartweed then it will have a hot peppery taste. You can use it in soups, salads, stews, and as a nice hot kick on a sandwich.
It's an herb that has been known to be used for medicinal purposes. It can be used as an antibacterial as well as an anti-swelling agent.
you should always research any wild plant before using it.
Apart from any medicinal or Culinary use, it is an excellent Ground cover, one that, unlike Grass, does not require Cutting!
You can cook with it!
Really? I have a whole yard full of it, it has smothered every blade of grass. I have to cut it because I have dogs and it grows pretty tall. It dies back in the fall leaving bare dirt/mud, I've tried pulling it out, but that doesn't even make a dent, just wears me out. I've heard it can be burnt, but will return the next year. I can't use any toxic chemicals because I live above a ravine teeming with wildlife and of course, I have dogs. Love to get rid of it...any ideas?
