What kind of tile Is it? Different materials require different processes.
If they are regular ceramic tiles, use toilet cleaner. Spread the toilet cleaner on the tiles for 2 hours and then scrub with steel wool scrub.
Rustoleum makes a tile restoration paint kit
You can paint it to give it a nice updated look. Coat with a base of Kilz Adhesion Primer and then paint with her color and finish of your choice.
Agreed - painting, or using the restoration kit, will give you good results. We used the restoration kit and it was really easy!
