Where can I get rug paint?

PensacolaAccents on Jan 26, 2014The best guarantee for success is to use a commercial-grade carpet fabric ( low level loop or quarter inch pile). Fabric paint is fine, but I prefer your basic flat-finish acrylic, water-based paint. Tape off your design or use a stencil and understand that the lines will be somewhat fuzzy because of slight paint bleeding. If you want a crisp line, paint a piece of linoleum (backside). You can seal the linoleum floor cloth with clear water soluble sealer.Helpful Reply

Bordeaux Construction Services on Jan 27, 2014If you use any type of latex or acrylic paint the fibers will be hard thats why you must use a carpet dye. Do not listen to the above coment from pensacola Accents on Acrylic paints. Do your own test on something you dont mind destroying.Helpful Reply

Kara Spurlock on Jan 28, 2014I have used and recommend latex paint with fabric medium. You can buy it at Hobby Lobby. If it feels a little rough just light sand it with a fine grit sand paper! I have also used spray paint on my outdoor rugs! I painted the fabric on this little bench in the pic!Helpful Reply
