I lived in Maine for many years. You'll need to find a bright warm spot in your house. Grow lights will help immensely if you can afford that type of a setup.
you need a place with a temp of at a minimum of 60degrees, any colder will hurt the plants. Then you need access to water for the plants. Then you need light..i had sliders. i put my plants by them. In house no3 I have grow lights in my basement.
My sister lives in Vermont. She has had a few "Winters that does not die" I'd say you need more light and a water soliable plant food like Peters..but not too much!!
You must plant them, in the sun, and be careful not to give them too much water. Always have a saucer under the pot, to put the water. Best wishes, J.
Always put a string in the pot, and have it long enough to sip the water. This is vital. J.
