Many Paint specialty shops sell a Patina Kit. This is a process that enables You to age or antiqe a project to Your desired finish. Online there are a number of product kits that offer variety of different finishes. You could also use chalk paint and then once dry use an antiquing wax that You control through application and buffing.
I have tried both and have loved the finish both produce so it is a matter of personal preference. By following the instructions You can't go wrong.
I hope this is helpful, whatever You choose have fun with it and even make notes
to refer to in the future, I find this quick reference save time too.
