Nelda on Jan 26, 2014Thanks robin...I thought about those too. I just dont want to have to sit & hold a piece in place. Of the two I think Elmer's Wood Glue would serve better.OR maybe I just need to take my time when using the hot glue, maybe spread it with a stick or something. It would have to be done fast or it will dry & I'll have to remove it! Thanks againHelpful Reply

Comet on Jan 26, 2014We used many sizes and thickness' of BALSA for a school competition where the structure was judged on weight bearing and design and we used SUPER GLUE to construct it. IT must have worked since we won First Prize and it held a surprising amount of weight--way more than the contest asked it to! Just be careful of it on your skin but if it gets on RUB your fingers etc to get it to ball up and peel off--or soak it in nail polish remover.Helpful Reply

Terra Gazelle on Aug 25, 2015wood glue. Elmer's wood glue is great...and strong and will not leave any tell tale signs like super glue. Just put it on and wipe off any excess. I use Gorilla glue on heavier pieces. The elmers dries clear and does not leave globs like Super glue.Helpful Reply
