Could very well be. The wind did it to my fig tree earlier in the spring. See if it still happens with no wind. So, basically watch and wait. If they still drop, let us know and we can figure it out. 😍
When we lived in Naples Florida we had an avocado tree that was so big it was twice the height of the house and it would bomb the roof all the time. Most of the fruit was about three pounds, but got as big as six pounds. Some of the fruit in the picture looks ripe or even over ripe and is perhaps dropping because of that. The wind will drop them if the wind gets them moving enough. We also had a huge mango tree that had huge mangos that did the same thing, at least they didn't bomb the house!
