When you have a small closet being creative is key . My closet measure 30 inches wide by 22 inches deep. The mini demolition required removing a wire shelving unit which was toggle bolted into the wall . This was my biggest challenge.
This disaster was my hall coat closet
I measured closet dimensions.. Home Depot cut top and bottom strips. I drilled pilot holes and attached to walls after measuring and confirming with level. I then painted the top area taupe and bottom white.
Next step paint strip pieces white( I know there's a better name but ....)you could probably have painted before attaching strips!!! Personal preference.
Next use masking tape to measure strips for coat hooks
Attach 2 small hooks on each side with 3 in back
Now attach larger hooks on top strip 2 on each side and 3 in back...
Finished! I love the simplicity of this design. Now I have enough space for the vacuum cleaner and seasonal items such as icemelt within easy reach and tucked away in my "mini walk-in closet".
My advice to women is not be intimidated by home improvement projects...
I AM WOMAN 👂🏽 ME 🐯!!!!!
Finally added shelf on top with canvas bags for scarfs, gloves and hats.
Enjoyed the project?
Suggested materials:

Have a question about this project?
Nice job! What did you spend $100 dollars on? I do not see that. Just wondering. Did you place a shelf on the top of the closet?
I love this. I would like to know how you arrived at $100? I have a similar closet and I need it for both coats and storage for items. This gives me a great idea for combining half with hooks and half with shelving!
Where is all of the original stuff that was in the close?
