Are you looking for perennial or annual? I have good luck with petunias and geraniums blooming all summer.
Coriopsis, a perennial, slowly spreads and blooms all summer. Also don't need to deadhead the spent blooms. I like and have "moonbeam".

Day Lily's are fantastic for blooms all summer. Just need to make sure to dead head and keep them watered. When the leaves turn just cut them down to the ground and in the spring they will come right back up. They are self propagators so will increase each year, but they are easily divided.
Yes, day lilies!
