How to repair what looks like heat damage to kitchen table.
A spot on purchased table appeared to have wax on it, but as I tried scraping it with my fingernail I started worrying this was wax worked into the wood as a finishing agent. How could I repair this?

well here are 2 videos that show you "face-to-face" how a hot iron (on steam setting from what I can hear) with a t-shirt will do it, OR a hot iron (without steam) and a "tea towel" will do it too ;) Hope this works for you too :)

It's not a white spot as shown in the video, but more a waxy rippling on the surface of the table.
