    Call a carpenter

  • Very cool! Here is a link for you. Not hard at all if you have basic carpentry skills and a few tools. Have fun! And make a table to coordinate for your lemonade or iced tea! 😉

Hello Mary; I would suggest contacting a local handyman. Also, if you know anyone who enjoys working with wood, that would be an excellent option, as if they are too busy to help you, they will know of someone who can help!!

Good Luck. I hope that you will be able to enjoy your swing very soon!!

Take an idea from the wooden sawhorses. Make it bigger than the swing and put wood between the legs to make an A frame. Make sure you make it out of good sturdy wood to handle the weight of the swing and the weight of the people that will be sitting in it.

Mary, go to a hardware store, box or other. In the lumber dept you will usually find a display board of different types of nail platesfor everyuse of lumber you can imagine. Joist hangers, post to concrete, fence to post hangers, etc. In that collection there should be a nail plate for your A frame. You can always ask, and also ask if they cut the angle of the 2x6 boards you will need to erect your swing. Don't forget the screws, or your crossboards for each side. Good luvk
