    There is certainly a trend toward painting furniture these days! I like paint for saving old furniture that isn't of great value, and the chalk paint technique really brings out the details, even on more valuable pieces. I wonder if this is something that will pass, or if it is here to stay. Meanwhile, it is good to be reminded that there is beauty in natural wood as well.

    I agree, especially if it’s a family heirloom, I hate to paint over the natural wood.

    I love it and the ability to see my beautiful wood without covering up with a paint or dark stain.
