No pictures of your room??????? Plants always! Lights of your choice or Lamps. Furniture of your choice. Don't forget your loungers. A flat screen t.v. off the wall. Curtains or blinds for your windows. Throw carpets on rustic, hard wood floors, wall to wall carpeting or painting your floors. Family pictures setting around. Large pictures and small to hang on the walls. Floating shelves and mirrors . Afghans for comfort and warmth. Doilies on your tables. Magazine box. Let us NOT forget your computer desk or laptop. Pour yourself a glass of wine and sit back and relax. Good Luck.......
That's a pretty broad question. What is the space mostly used for? How many people are usually there? How big is it? Have you painted? I would love to help but it's hard to know where to start.
You can add color and personality with things like fun bright throw pillows, bright wall art or wall shelving displaying art. A floor vase for a corner that 'needs something'. Shop places like Home Goods for budget friendly decor. This link from realsimple.com has some ideas and pics for inspiration:

Hi Charot, Sometimes it only takes some color. Colorful throw and pillows, a pretty vase full of mixed flowers, a colorful piece of artwork for you wall or even a patterned area rug could do the trick! If you are courageous, a bold accent wall would help too! I’d shop around the house to see if you can use something you already have. Sometimes things just need to be moved around the house to give it a new fresh look. Also, are there items that you’re not using in a cabinet that you can add a fresh coat of paint?
perhaps a photo and your personal decorating style would help us
