What can i use to keep bugs from eating my plant leaves?

I have beatiful plant wil long big leaves, but the bugs are eating it and now the leaves have big holes and i don't know how to keep them away

If it is slugs you can put a shallow container under the plant filled with beer, it will get rid of the slugs.
If your plants are hostas try Diatomaceous Earth, available at Walmart, Amazon and garden centers.
What kind of plant? What kind of bug?
i generally avoid poison but I do Use Liquid 7 or Bug B Gone to keep bugs feom eating plants
