I use rosemary plants. They don't eat my plants anymore. I put one at each end of a group of 4x4 gardens where they used to graze. No problem since I planted the rosemary.
A friend of mine keeps deer from his corn by placing fishing line about waist high around his corn. The deer get spooked by it, and he's never had problems with his chosen since.
