Do you have a photo?
Put a 2 tier carousel in it.
If it's like mine a cave, I keep items that fight through tiny opening that I use 2-3 per year. My potato ricer, my two blender tops with blender, my pasta maker. Stuff like that. I hat it but at least I have a place for those items. I wouldn't use a lazy Susan because to much space is wasted in corners.
Even a single lazy susan would help you reach things in the back of the cupboard. Is there a shelf in the middle? Get one for that one too. I have an upper corner cupboard and I got them for all three shelves. The area is big enough that I can even stash a few things on the edge between the lazy susan and the wall. I keep my vanilla there (It's an 11 oz bottle)
Good luck!
put things in there that you don't use often.
sounds like it needs to be retro fit with a corner slider. I put one in house no. 2. Reva shelf I think...all my cabnits got pull out sliders. My mom has bad eyesight.. kept grabbing the wrong item. I have one of those 2 tier carousel things....hate it.
They have some that I have seen that have higher sides.
Since you mention recycle bins, I think this would work for you (see photo)

I hated my Lazy Susan and do not regret getting rid of it. I can put so much more in now, and I can clean the whole cupboard, which was not feasible before. The trade off however is getting hinges installed.
In another cupboard, I have a shelf that goes from front to back on the left (see pic red shelf), and a few inches down I have a shelf that goes entirely from left to right(see pic blue shelf), and I love them. I put the things that I use less often in the back. I have an old fridge drawer and a rectangular bin to corral, measuring cups etc., and I pull them out like drawers.
If you put on hinges, you could put a bin on the door as long as the hinges are strong, and use the inside of the cabinet for garbage bags, cleaners or another bin.
