Baseboard Cleaning Tip

I love this simple and useful Baseboard Cleaning Tip. Who knew using an item from your laundry room could help you clean? All you need is a dryer sheet!!! I used Bounce dryer sheets because that is what I have in my laundry room and my stockpile.

After drying my clothes save the dryer sheets and use them to go around your house and wipe down the baseboards. It is supposed to help cut down on dust coming back. It has worked for me! It makes cleaning my ...»

baseboards easier now. So save those dryer sheets and see if it helps on your cleaning

Any brand will do, don't wet it, and they can also be used on a Swiffer for the floor.

  • This almost shows the whole of both towers. 8
  • I disassembled all of my collected lamps and laid out the globes to see approximately how much rebar I needed for the tower. 2
  • I used 3/8 inch rebar threaded through all of the pieces. I didn't end up using this base though. The actual construction was quite a bit of trial and error in 100+ temperatures! ARGH!!
  • I used the biggest globe and lamp base for the bottom of the tower. 2
  • I primed and painted all of the lamp pieces I was going to use between the globes. 1
  • I alternated the globe pieces with a lamp parts. Initially I tried to use only the globes but didn't like
the way the glass rubbed and was afraid they would break. 2
  • After figuring out that the globes were too heavy for one tower, I made a second tower. 5
  • They are beautiful with the sun shinning through 12

My glass tower vision has been fulfilled! I built it!

I saw one of these in a magazine years ago and I've wanted one ever since. It took me several years to collect affordable pieces but after that it was pretty easy. Here is some of how I ...»

I just wanted to share my pride and joy!

My goldfish pond! It has given us such an enjoyment to sit by everyday. We have 30 goldfish that are now 6 years old! They are getting quite big and beautiful and very soothing to watch.

  • All the rustic bling makes for a fun focal point in the backyard. The white planter box use to be a firetruck parts crate. A couple pallets offer a front step and side walkway. A rusty old vintage headboard became a gate. 9
  • The before. The lovely cow mural was hand painted by a friend, which now is safely in storage until it lands a new location. 4
  • Odds and sods were used to create a door. The wreath is made from canning jar lids. 6
  • Junky relics chime in well with bright red geraniums. 2

A rustic shed made from reclaimed lumber

began. Junky relics were added to create a fun focal point which now houses firewood.

This shed is part of a 4 part series showing the entire build. Lots more to see!

  • This hid an ugly spot in the yard that was in my direct line of vision as I sit on my porch....the sound of the water adds a wonderfully relaxing melody as it attracts birds and other wildlife for my pleasure. 9

A bad spot in the yard

I had a bare naked place right in the front yard that overlooks my porch and it was driving me crazy trying to keep grass growing. Finally I just gave up and did this instead. I like it much better and used materials I had on hand except for the lining. I also went to a bigger pump than the one I had. I'll use the smaller one for a new project in the back yard.
