the existising room adjoins the family room part and is a larger more formal eating area.

Gardening: any body have any solutions to weeds growing in flower beds this time of year.

I hear that most chemicals don"t work in these lower temps. And what about wild onions growing in dormant lawns?

Gardening: will it hurt to prune my liriope now,Nov 16 or should I wait till Jan?

Also how about fig trees, now or later? I will be cutting them back probably a foot or two.

    new growth comes out in the spring. It's not a problem in my yard. The deer pruned it back a couple of weeks ago. I will cut it back now to "neaten up" the borders. Deer don't cut is back as evenly as I would like.
