Roses, jasmine, lantana are a few.
Any bulb plants are really easy to grow. The only attention they need is to be divided ever so often. Hosta are easy to grow and they expand as they get older.
Marigolds
It really depends on your zone, whether the area is sunny or shady and the type of soil. I would go to a nursery and see what they recommend for your area. Just be careful, because often the ones that need little care can be invasive and before you know it, they will be everywhere - even where you don't want them - like your neighbor's yard or garden. Yikes!
Good luck
That depends on where you live.
Wow, need way more information to properly help you with this...what is the area like in terms of sunlight and type of soil? Are you looking for ground cover types of plants, flowering plants, or something else? What is your planting zone? Do you want annuals or perennials?
If the area is shaded, hosta requires little attention. There are a number of different types with various shades of green for the leaves. If the area is very sunny, you'll want to choose plants that are sun loving like roses.
There are a ton of options depending on your requirements.
Depends on where you live. How hot, how much sun does it get in that location. Does it flower, is it relatively pest free. How much water does it need. How tall do you want it to be. Does it flower. If it flowers it will probably attract bees. Be ok with this is the location or pick another plant. Ask the local garden center guru what plants are suitable for those locations. Oh, and is it perinnial or do you have to plant it every year.
http://www.burpee.com/perennials/ Hands down, Daylillies. In another group I'd plant some of the spring bulbs, an assortment of daisies, and mums for fall color. Then at end or blooming season just run the mower over and rake your leaves over the bed. Come spring rake off leaves and you're set for the next year.
Kandy, I am posting a web link for you from BIRDS AND BLOOMS so you can see the plants being talked about, and then if you are interested in any of them you can find more info on the web. I hope this link is of help to you :)
