get a mold shape at the craft store or hd..mix up the cement and pour into ..if you are going to make several do it with small batches. You can also put stones, marbles and other pretty things on the bottom so that they are on the top when you un mold it.
You can get a pie pan that release's and mix your quikcrete and make a stone let it settle you can add all those left over shells from the beach, or make a saying welcome to Rock City,, let dry for 24-48 hrs . Clear place and lay it ,
Buy a mold or make one mix up some quick Crete fill the molds let them dry then remove dried stones. You can then use the mold again. A trick I found is to spray the mold with Pam Spray before putting in the quick Crete. When they dry the stones come out nicely
I use large pizza boxes as the mold
Depends on how big you want them - we used aluminum pans, ready mix concrete and if you like a bit of color, you can tint the concrete, or put whatever (colored rocks, etc) in the bottom before you pour in your cement.
