How do I keep the wild rabbits and deer out of my garden?

Fencing would be no one. Try planting a marigold flower border around it,they are supposed to not like that particular flower 🌺

May need to fence. Use some thought and maybe try something ornamental to dress up the garden. It has to be high though and have maybe a lattice slanted back toward the garden to discourage them. Nothing too wide , just enough that they can't figure out how to get over it. Ask your local growers how high the fence should be. This is for the deer. As for the rabbits, the fence may deter them also but they cleverly may dig under the fence . Have heard that putting wire mesh buried under the ground under the fence before erecting it discourages them. The last method is to put a fence in and add a scarecrow that has a motion sensor and says something when approached. But they may realize after awhile that it's not anything to be scared of. You can get deer & rabbit repellent at Walmart, or Amazon.com, or you can also get a motion activated ultrasonic yard & garden protector. The deer & rabbit's can't stand the ultrasonic sounds & they stay away from the areas. You can get it at target, Walmart, Amazon.com, Lowes & home depot!

If you plan on having a garden in the same place for years, consider a permanent investment of a good fence. With a chain link fence, you still need to add chicken wire at the bottom for rabbits, and they can dig burrows under the fence anyway. Some people dig a trough a foot deep and 6" across, then curl the chicken wire toward the garden. Then they fill the trough back up.

Deer can jump a 6' fence, but not usually 8' or more. You could go with a tall wooden fence like you would put around your backyard. You have to make sure your plants will get enough sun, so that might mean six more feet on every side. A barbed wire fence won't help at all.
