Omg potatoes are so easy to grow. You can even use the ones you buy from the grocercy store you have in the frig. When they start to develop eyes or sprout cut them in half and plant them in your garden. Put them in the ground and then put soil over them to represent a small hill. Water and sun does the rest. When the vines dry up they are ready to pick
i personally went to our local Tractor Supply to get Potato seed. I filled a potato bag halfway with garden soil and followed the directions on how to prep the potato before planting. I covered the potatoes and watered until they greenery started to sprout. When it dries out completely and dies, the potatoes should be ready. I turned the bag over in a wheel barrow and there they were!! Potatoes!!!
** i did purchase the potato bad from The Gardeners catalog or you can go to their website.
Loosen the soil you are planting in. Buy any type potatoe you want to grow from the grocery store, farmers market etc. Let them sit until they for eyes. Cut into pieces so you have 1 or nice eyes per piece. Poke holes in your prepared bed, apps 12 in apart and pop in your taters. Cover, tamp, water. Soooo easy to grow, great for kids.
