Want to make a bench out of this. Took off the tires and the wheel are rusted. To the point of have sharp place around the edges. The only thing I can come up with is to build a box around them ? This bench is going into my Garden of Prayer That I have just stared on yesterday, There seem to be no way of taking the wheel off because there is no way to cut the bolts off of them! Besides with out them it would just set on the ground. icon

Hi Booberry, If the metal is that bad, maybe you could take a sledge hammer to the metal and it may just break off!

    Good luck

Need close-ups of the wheels. I can't tell much from far away and sideways.

I would leave the wheels on, this will make it easier for mowing. Now the tow toung you can find someone to remove easily with a blow torch. A good sanding and paint job before you build the bench you will be sitting on and I think your on to something. Good luck can't wait to see the finished product.......Teri

looks pretty low to the ground. why don't you build a bench that suits you and take this apart and use the pieces to decorate the bench and area around the trees? not sure if you want to sit or kneel? why not make i nice flowery area and put in a swing.

why not use the tongue as the back sticking it straight up in the air then use cement blocks and a a few 2x4 and 2x6's for the bench part?

leave the tires as the arm rest?

Look's like an OLD trailer...but if the wheels hadn't been mentioned, I'd still be scratching my head.
