We only have 1 bathroom and were nervous to start the down-to-the studs remodel. Nevertheless, the few months of inconvenience were more than worth the beautiful results. We worked with our plumber and handyman for the drywall and tile but did all the design, demo, electrical, insulation, window-install, painting, etc. ourselves.

We did our plans in Google's Sketch-Up - a great free drafting tool.
Demo begins!
Installing the header for the new window.
The new window looks great!
Hanging insulation.
We hung tarps around the shower while the walls were down.
We managed to time things out so we only needed the porta-potty for a week. Even so, it was a long week.
Drywall is up!
Bathroom tile looking good.
So much better than running downstairs and outside to use the bathroom! Our beautiful new toilet has a soft-close lid I love.
I love the shower shelf an the way if echos the dimensions of the new window!
New window looks great! Special matte bathroom paint gives it a spa feeling.
I absolutely love the new bath!
